My paintings focus on my interest in color, texture and the mixing of materials to achieve a piece that beckons to be examined closely. Blending traditional painting techniques with unique materials, I build my paintings up with bold colors and unexpected elements. Canvas shapes range from squares to rectangles to my favorite, 3-dimensional rounds – a shape that has fascinated me from the time I started going to art museums in my youth.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts from Western Michigan University, with a major in painting and a minor in drawing and printmaking. I’ve been a part of the art world for many years in Denver, Colorado, and was previously a member of CORE New Art Space.
